School Support & Resources

VAISEF supports specialized education through professional learning, collaboration, advocacy and shared resources.

Professional Learning

VAISEF brings school leaders, educators and related service professionals together to share expertise and strengthen specialized education. Professional learning includes conferences, webinars and Medication Administration Training for Youth.

The Quality Services Committee helps identify training needs, recommend conference and webinar topics, suggest presenters and practical tools, and share effective practices. The Health and Safety Committee supports resources and training related to emergency preparedness, medication administration and safe operations.

Collaboration and Committee Service

School teams can contribute their experience through VAISEF’s committees. Committee work supports accreditation, professional learning, health and safety, advocacy, technology and association resources.

The Membership Services Committee welcomes colleagues, gathers feedback and recommends networking opportunities and practical resources. Committee service offers a way to build relationships and help shape support for specialized schools.

Advocacy and Continuous Improvement

The Government Affairs Committee monitors legislation, regulations and public policy affecting specialized education. It helps identify emerging concerns and supports coordinated communication with policymakers and partner organizations.

VAISEF also supports school improvement through peer review and the collection and aggregation of student outcomes data. The member portal provides accreditation documents, required reporting links and resources for school teams.
